Making its debut in June 2008, The AMP Party honors the essence of the Essex Arts Center with a celebration of numerous artistic expressions. The 2008 fundraising outdoor party featured some of the top bands in Buffalo, belly dancers, tour of the Studio for Youth, spoken word performances, world beat drum ensemble, art displays and even a fire twirler. The AMP Party looks to return again in the first weekend of June 2009.

Performers at the 2008 included: The Great Train Robbery, A Potters Field, Juxtaposse, The Bogarts, the Heavenly Chillbillies, Gahu Drum Ensemble, Bella Dea, Roberto Valenza and Chandra, and Wild Kyle the Fire Twirler.
