The
Griffis Sculpture Park
, located in Ashford Hollow, NY, is the United States' largest outdoor sculpture park. Throughout the park's 400 acres resides over 250 sculptures in fields, trails, forests, even in ponds. It is truly one of the most unique blends of art and nature ever created. The park landed in Ashford Hollow in 1967, after a short stint at nearby Kissing Bridge ski resort.
By 1969, the Ashford Hollow Foundation had purchased 400 acres on Rohr Hill Road and Mill Valley Road. Throughout the years the park was developed to showcase a growing art collection. Besides numerous monumental pieces created by founder Larry Griffis, Jr, the park is home to dozens of international sculptors.
