The
sculpture park features over 425 acres featuring rolling hills, forest, open
meadows, ravines, seven ponds, and breathtaking views. Incorporated with the
natural beauty of the park are more than 225 monumental works of art from
local, national, and international artists. Individuals are encouraged to
follow the maps and trails throughout the park but tours are available for
groups.
The park is
built around a philosophy that culminates in the marriage of art and nature.
Simon Griffis, the Executive Director of the Ashford Hollow Foundation, will be
your personal host introducing you to the history of the Park. He will include
background about the artists as well as how the sculptures were created. Mr.
Griffis will introduce the flora, the fauna, the fossils, and edible plants
found at the park. Tours can be created to meet the needs of the group and can
include many different activities.
