The Ashford Hollow Foundation is a not-for-profit organization geared towards providing our community a place to explore their creativity. People can get involved in the Buffalo arts community through various events and activities at both the Essex Art Center and the Griffis Sculpture Park.
Because we are a 501C3 group we depend on our community in many ways. We need you to show your support to the arts by being involved: attend an event or workshop, visit the park, go to an opening, volunteer, donate, or spread the word.

The Ashford Hollow Foundation recognizes the importance of a hands-on learning environment to fulfill goals of leadership in the arts and non-profit world. We invite undergraduate and graduate students to become part of the Ashford Hollow Foundation family to learn important skills for joining the work force. School credit is available for a term of service, however, any amount of time you can commit will be considered for a short-term or extended-term with our team. Summer internships are available at the Griffis Sculpture Park and year round internships are available in Administration and the Studio for Youth.
There are countless ways people can contribute to the Ashford Hollow Foundation. If you are interested in giving back to your community the Essex Art Center or the Griffis Sculpture Park can always use helping hands. Please contact us or join our mailing list to become one of our very crucial community volunteers.
We are currently seeking Docents for the Griffis Sculpture Park. Every year thousands of people visit the park, become one of the very important tour guides to show them the way. We will train you on the history of the GSP, interesting background on our collection, and our local ecology. If you have the energy, availability and the interest to interact with hundreds from the Western New York community, please contact Sarah for more information.
Please consider giving in any amount to the Ashford Hollow Foundation. Your donation will be used to provide arts programming to hundreds of individuals throughout Western New York every year. With a monetary or in-kind donation you are entitled to a tax deduction from the IRS and will receive a quarterly newsletter to see updates from the foundation.
